Davies, signed from Welton Rovers earlier this month, scored twice in eight minutes after the O's had gone behind to a fortunate goal six minutes into the second half.
O's, on an impressive run of four wins in five league games, appeared to have taken the lead through striker Simon Lashley who netted from Gary Shorney's cross but for some unknown reason, the goal wasn't allowed. And after Chippenham took the lead on 51 minutes with a shot that looped over keeper Ryan Perry, it seemed like the O's recent run was under threat.
But this Oldland side has guts and belief in spades at the moment and it took just eighteen minutes to get back on level terms when Davies scored. And the small band of loyal O's in the crowd then went wild when Davies made it 2-1 on 77 minutes to cap a marvellous debut.
The final few minutes were a little wobbly at times with just a single goal lead to hold on to but hold on, they did and three more points were in the bag. It was the second successive year that the O's had travelled to Hardenhuish and come away with a maximum three point haul.
A tough proposition lies ahead on Saturday as Oldland travel to league leaders Wincanton Town.
