The O's took the lead on eight minutes through a Connor Davies deflected shot but Cribbs levelled through Jordan Yeo before half time. In the second half, it was mainly one way traffic with Oldland hitting the post and also having a last minute effort cleared off the line. The visitors can feel a little hard done by not to have taken all three points from the encounter.
Although Oldland had an early scare when Jordan Yeo shot just wide, they took the lead on eight minutes. Connor Davies scored with a shot that deflected off a defender, wrong footing the keeper to score his fourth goal of the season.
Cribbs reacted and only some last ditch blocks from Jamie Powell, Josh Dempsey and Sam Abraham prevented the hosts getting even within a matter of minutes with Yeo, Tom Morgan and Chris Kite all denied.
O's regained the territory again and could have gone further ahead when chances for Abraham, Ryan Ashwood (twice) and Paul Coles all came and went.
Cribbs levelled on 26 minutes and their equaliser had more than a touch of good fortune about it. Jack Kinnerly's right wing cross was sliced and looped towards the back post, rebounding off it to Yeo who netted from close in.
Yeo tested young keeper Powell later in the half but it was one of the last opportunities high flying Cribbs had in the match, such was Oldland's second half performance. Davies went looking for a second goal, sending a swerving shot just over while Dempsey was slightly further amiss with his right foot long range shot.
Cribbs final clear cut chance came on 51 minutes when after a great move, Morgan fired into the side netting from inside the penalty box.
From then on in, there was only one side likely to score. Coles was inches away from touching in Ashwood's fierce low cross, Dempsey volleyed straight at the keeper when set up by Jordan Greenwood's low cross and sub Lewis Powell's right foot shot was too hot for keeper Matt Turner to hold but no one could follow up the loose ball.
In the final six minutes, Oldland came agonisingly close to grabbing a sensational win. Dempsey was proving a threat from Scott Robson's corners and on 87 minutes, the defender thumped a header against the post, the ball rolling away to safety. Then, a minute into stoppage time, a huge kick from Jamie Powell released second sub Josh Williams and he beat the keeper to the ball, nodding past him before being clattered into by Turner. The ball didn't quite have enough on it to reach the goal line with the Cribbs covering defender just getting back in time.
