A superb hat trick from Darrin Moss and a fourth from Stuart Windsor saw Calne overcome visiting Oldland 4-0 this afternoon.

Windsor hit a spectacular opener on nine minutes and Moss added a second from outside the box before hitting a third with his knee in first half stoppage time . After then having to defend several Oldland attacks in the second half, the home side counter attacked in the last minute and Moss completed his treble with a fine volleyed lob. The result meant the Lilywhites leapfrog the O's in the Division One table and move into 12th place.

Jordan Greenwood began his three game suspension today so Jordan Richards' return was welcome and he lined up alongside Josh Dempsey at the heart of the O's defence. New signing, striker Paul Coles, came in for his debut and there was a place on the bench for youngsters Connor Davies and Calum Winstone.

The O's were warned early on of Calne's attacking style when Alex Hamilton burst forward but shot well over. O's had chances of their own too with captain Gary Shorney twice going close and Tom Hutton shooting straight at keeper Steven Allison.

The opening goal came on nine minutes out of nowhere. Stuart Windsor found himself in space 25 yards from goal and hit a beauty over the stranded Ryan Perry. The Oldland keeper then had to smartly parry another effort from Moss on 12 minutes but it was at the other end where most of the play was concerned. Lewis Powell curled a shot straight at Allison and Shorney stabbed a shot goalwards but it was pushed away by Allison.

Aaron Hopkins went very close to making it 2-0 to Calne with a shot that rattled the post and hit Perry on the way out, almost sneaking in. But the Wiltshire side weren't denied for long as they struck twice more right on the half time whistle, both courtesy of Darrin Moss. His first was a sweet first time volley from the edge of the box before in stoppage time, he converted the third with his right knee to make it 3-0.

The second half saw Oldland come out fired up and at times, pinning Calne back in their own defensive third. Aside from a header from Moss that landed on the roof of the net, their opportunities were few and far between. But Oldland's chances saw them off target and home keeper Allison was hardly troubled all game as he watched the ball go wide, over or wide AND over.

Hutton from way out fired over, Dempsey headed a Simon Lashley corner over and Allison was grateful for some good fortune as he dropped the ball at the feet of Ali Bamford but the full back couldn't convert. Dempsey had another header cleared off the line and Richards, up from the back late on shot wide twice from inside the box. Sub Davies also tested Allison with a snap shot at his near post.

With a minute of normal time remaining, Calne completed the scoring on the counter attack after yet another Oldland corner. The ball through found Moss in space and with Perry off his line, the striker completed his hat trick with a neat lob from 25 yards.

Calne's win was only their second win in eleven games including a run of seven successive defeats but today's win sees them reach the brink of the top half while O's sink down to 15th spot in the table.
