Blaine Fitzgerald gave the Wiltshire side the lead on twenty minutes but Josh Williams equalised ten minutes later. The O's had enough chances to win two games but couldn't put just one of them away to take the three points.
In the absence of normal skipper Jordan Greenwood, 18-year-old midfielder Josh Williams was handed the captain's armband to lead the side out. And his O's side had two early chances to open the scoring but Simon Lashley and Gary Shorney put their efforts wide.
Devizes had their chances too with Ryan Perry saving twice and watching a header go over his crossbar. Oldland were then on top but after forcing three corners, they somehow found themselves behind when Blaine Fitzgerald finished from close range after a header came back off the crossbar.
They almost made it 2-0 three minutes later with a shot that went wide but O's didn't take long to level the scores when Josh Williams volleyed home after Devizes had failed to clear an Ali Bamford long throw.
Williams and Shorney had chances before half time to give the hosts an interval lead and after the break, Jack Parker's cross whizzed narrowly wide of the far post and Lashley's first time shot was blocked by the keeper's legs.
The game was competitive on a close, muggy afternoon and Oldland fans would be forgiven for thinking the team might get caught by a sucker punch if they didn't convert one of their many chances. The Devizes keeper saved well from a Shorney curling effort but could only watch helplessly as Ryan Ashwood, on for his debut, sent a rasping shot inches wide of the far post.
The final part of the game saw two more chances for the O's go wide through Scott Robson and Jack Parker but the last chance of the match saw Devizes hit the crossbar with a close range volley.
