O's made four changes to the team that lost 2-0 to Hengrove Athletic in midweek with Ryan Perry, Josh Williams, Lewis Powell and Scott Robson coming in for Sam Jones, Jason Side, Mike Alvis and Haydn Conlan. Included on the bench for the O's were two players signed this week, midfielders Ryan Dunn from Bristol Manor Farm and Jack Parker from Winterbourne United.
On the 3g pitch that Oldland had won twice from two outings last season, they started like a train and were two up inside eighteen minutes, both headed goals from Tom Smallman corners. First to benefit was Ashley Bernard on six minutes and he was joined on the scoresheet by fellow defender Jordan Greenwood twelve minutes later.
Keynsham pulled a goal back two minutes after the break but the O's regained a two goal lead when Scott Robson's corner looked to be going in but Josh Williams got the final touch. The home side then pulled a goal back again to trail 3-2 but O's then made it 4-2 late on with a fine team goal rounded off by debutant Jack Parker.
