Oldland's FA Vase run came to an abrupt end as they were beaten 7-1 by Premier Division side Bradford Town at home today.

A first half Sam Jordan hat trick plus goals from Mike Reaney, Jack Hopper, Mark Wall and a Josh Bingham penalty saw Bradofrd through to the second qualifying round. Josh Williams scored the O's consolation just before the interval and both sides ended with ten men after Ryan Nicholls and Dan Shanley saw red after a scuffle.

Having conceded twelve goals in two games against the title winners last season, Oldland knew what they would be up against as the newly promoted Premier club came to Castle Road. And it was backs-to-the-wall right from the start as Ryan Perry saved with his legs from Dan King on eight minutes.

But the reprieve was only temporary as Bradford took the lead straight after. King swung over a corner which was met at the near post by Sam Jordan for his first goal since returning from injury. He then made it 2-0 after springing the offisde trap and firing under Perry on fourteen minutes.

Jason Side had Oldland's first chance but his rising shot was deflected over the crossbar for a corner but the chances for the O's were few and far between, Ryan Nicholls shooting straight at the keeper in a one-on-one. Jordan pulled a shot wide then headed at Perry before finally grabbing his treble on 32 minutes with a carbon copy of his first goal, a near post finish from a King set piece.

Before the O's could recover, it was soon 4-0. King's corners were a problem all afternoon and another delivery was met by Mike Reaney with a firm header on 37 minutes.

As the half closed, there was more drama as a double sending off marred the game. Ryan Nicholls was fouled in midfield but reacted to the challenge and this in turn provoked a reaction from visiting defender Dan Shanley. Worcester ref Paul Tyler had little option but to dismiss both men.

O's were spurred on by this and from the free kick, Jack Parker's shot hit the outside of the post and then Scott Robson shot well wide. But the O's got a late first half consolation when Gary Shorney chipped across for Josh Williams to head home well.

Jordan Richards headed narrowly wide shortly after the break but the O's were soon 5-1 down when Jordan turned goal maker, setting up Jack Hopper to slot home. Twaine Plummer hit a weak shot at Perry in the Oldland goal before then being fouled in an incident that saw both Richards and Ashley Bernard booked.

Perry tipped a King free kick onto the crossbar on 68 minutes but within five minutes, it was 6-1 when a right wing pull back was converted by Mark Wall from close range. Number seven arrived on eighty minutes when Ali Bamford brought down Joe Stradling, Josh Bingham scoring the spot kick at the second time of asking.

The final few minutes were end -to-end with both teams threatening further goals. For the O's. Robson set up Shorney but his delicate chip came off the crossbar and Mike Alvis' shot deflected to Jason Side whose snap shot smacked the post. Stradling also wasted two golden opportunities to make it a "great eight" when he fired wide with only Perry to beat before then later rounding the keeper and pulling his shot wide.

The final chance, the 29th of the game, fell to Alvis who couldn't quite reach a Simon Lashley cross and could only head wide.
