CUP HOPES DIE AT THE HANDS OF FRY

It was a quiet first half that had seen the O's ahead on possession and chances. Both Scott Robson and Tom Hutton had chances to give the O's the lead on a hot, sultry Keynsham evening.

The winner, when it came, had more than a hint of controversy about it. After a disputed free kick had been awarded, the ball was sent into the Oldland box where Matt Brown found room to swivel and fire home.

Oldland continued to press and Josh Williams, Scott Robson and Jordan Greenwood went close but the equaliser wouldn't come. The game ended on a sour note after an Oldland player was kicked and elbowed off the ball but with neither of the officials sure of the culprit, no further action could be taken.

Fry Club will now play the winner of tonight's clash between Lebeq and Eden Grove.
