Jerome Ingram and Kris Douglas missed a spot kick in each half and Fry's rubbed salt into the wounds by grabbing a late winner.
The game began in dry, warm conditions and Oldland had the better of the early exchanges against an organised Fry Club side that will begin life in the Somerset County League Premier Division this season. Ingram poked just wide and Mark Leigh headed at keeper Toby Pawlowski before on 37 minutes, Oldland were awarded their first spot kick. Ashley McDowell was fouled in the box but Ingram saw his low shot saved well by Pawlowski.
As the second half began, so did the rain making conditions difficult for good football. Ryan Perry made ane xcellent full length diving save on 55 minutes while at the other end, Leigh was again denied by Pawlowski who beat out his shot with strong hands.
With eight minutes to go, Fry's grabbed a winner when Matt Crow hit a superb striker leaving Perry helpless but Oldland then had a quick chance to level matters three minutes later when sub Liam Robson was brought down. Kris Douglas stepped up but Pawlowski saved his penalty diving low to his left and then saved a follow up shot at his near post.
