The visitors were four up inside the first twenty minutes through goals from Matt Peters, Ren Turnock and a double from Matt Chant. It looked likely that a repeat of the 9-1 scoreline from the first game between the sides might be on.
But a much improved performance from the O’s saw them pull two goals back in the second half with strikes from Joe Galsworthy and Jordan Greenwood. The hosts then hit the woodwork twice, had two goals disallowed and another cleared off the line in a frantic finish.
O’s keeper Ryan Perry also saved a Town penalty in the second half.
