O'S DENIED WIN IN LATE LATE SHOW

The Somerset side went ahead on the half hour but the O's came roaring back in the second half with Tom Shopland and Lucas Hart putting Dale Dempsey's side 2-1 up. But a last minute screamer from Ross McErlain that went in off the crossbar and keeper Ryan Perry meant that O's had to be content with a single point.

Oldland conceded just before the half hour mark and went in at half time a goal behind., But after Jamie Howson had forced Perry into a save from his rasping shot, Oldland came more into the game and grew in confidence. Joe Galsworthy's shot rose too high and flew over the corssbar but on 62 minutes, the O's got what they deserved when Shopland fired home his fourth goal in eleven games.

The hosts then went agonisingly close to taking the lead when a driven cross from Tom Hutton skimmed Galsworthy's head and out for a goal kick. But within sixty seconds, it didn't matter as a partially cleared free kick fell to Lucas Hart and he lashed home his first Oldland goal.

Hutton then went close with a low shot and as Wells desperately tried to grab an equaliser, two shots went way over and Perry produced a brilliant save from close range.

But then heartbreak came with just ten seconds left of normal time. The ball fell to McErlain outside the penalty box and his left foot shot crashed off the crossbar, rebounded off the back of O's keeper Perry and into the net for a harsh leveller.
