O'S BLOWN AWAY AT WINDY WELLS

After Jerome Ingram had gone close with a shot early on, Wells took the lead on nine minutes when Jason Loxton followed up his own shot to fire past Ryan Perry in the Oldland goal.

The O's levelled the score halfway through the first half when Mike Hardiman's low 25 yard effort found the bottom corner. But the lead was short lived and Mark Randall, son of former Bristol Rovers striker Paul, curled in a free kick that evaded everyone in the crowded penalty area.

The whole game was played in blustery conditions and the challenge increased in the latter stages of the first half when the rain came down as well.

Harry Lewis and Loxton again went close with shots but two minutes into the second half, Randall struck again with another left foot curling free kick into the top corner this time. Perry then did very well to tip a Danny Williams effort on to the roof of his net just before the hour.

Wells stretched their lead to 4-1 on seventy minutes when substitute Francis Rolli curled in a beauty but O's gave themselves a chance when Hardiman grabbed his, and Oldland's, second, with twelve minutes remaining.

However after the game had been delayed for five minutes for running repairs to the net, Oldland couldn't grab a third that would have really made the game interesting and were left to reflect on another league defeat.
