The O's took the lead halfway through the first half but held on for just ten minutes and conceded a second goal early in the second half. Despite creating several chances in the second half, the Almonds took all three points for their second win in two games.
Following a good shower of rain in the afternoon, the pitch was a little slippy initially while players got used to the surface. Oldland settled the better and Mark Leigh poked a shot just wide on two minutes and Luke Lipinski curled a shot over the crossbar.
Wayne Pearce and Leigh were both off target before Oldland took the lead on 22 minutes. Pearce created space to cross from the left flank and Jay Belton followed in at the back post to finish off. Almondsbury then equalised ten minutes later with a shot from outside the area into the corner of the net to make it 1-1.
The second half started off badly when a defensive slip let in an Almondsbury attacker to make it 2-1 but still Oldland worked hard and crafted opportunities for themselves. Belton turned and fired wide, Lipinski shot at the keeper and sub Danny Carter shot over after Pearce had flicked on.
Tom Hutton had the last chance of the game with the last kick but his shot was over the crossbar.
