After the recent bizzare match where five match balls disappeared into the undergrowth in quick succession and other balls going missing during Reserve team matches, this free weekend gives the Club time to try and address matters.

It will also hopefully put a stop to stinging nettle rash on the legs of the volunteers who take the stand fences down weekly or spend half the game rifling through the undergrowth finding balls.

Anyone (yes, any of you - free admission too!) is welcome to come to the club from 10.00 onwards this Saturday. The plan is via a variety of cherrypickers, strimmers, hand mowers, poison, etc (poison?) to rifle through the undergrowth and clear it away.

All help is appreciated as this will also conincide with the outdoor training light bulbs being replaced, an advertising hoarding requiring moving and various other neatening and tidying jobs that need to be done around the place following a busy few weeks of Saturday and midweek matches.

All who turn up with then have the privelige of going home for a shower before heading to Hengrove FC, Norton Lane to watch the Reserves in action against De Veys (2.30 kick off)
