The pitch has come in for a fair deal of critisicm in recent weeks as it struggled to take on board the heavy weather and our inability to get on it to work.

We do hope though to be able to get on it this week and improve the surface ahead of Saturdays game against Westbury

We have been helped by having no games for a few weeks, although the last two home games being cancelled by the appointed officials at a late stage when passed fit at 10.30 and all the preparation work had taken place wasn't exactly ideal.

On Wednesday morning our groundsman hopes to get on to the pitch and sort the surface with the line marking we believe scheduled in for Friday afternoon (we welcome back Dean the Pitch). The final tweaks will be carried out on Saturday morning when Dempo, Glees and Habbers will be in attendance. Hopefully the surface will be in a semi decent condition.

Let's see how it goes - it ain't Wembley, but then again it ain't The Downs either!
