He's alright............

"He only fainted because Luke scored"

We are pleased to announce that Lewis is fit and well after the incident last night.

As reported during and after the match, he picked up a nasty knock last night at Warminster. He had bravely defended a free kick with a ball to the face from close range early in the second half and continued after treatment before collapsing at the other end of the pitch a few minutes later as Luke Lecrass' goal went in. It was a worrying time for all at the ground and took the gloss off the game for a while.

Lewis received immediate and great attention from our physio Pat Delaney and the Warminster staff before being stretchered off for more attention whilst the game continued. He was fine immediately after the game before taking a slight turn for the worse and being ill in the changing rooms so was taken to Bath for an A&E appointment. The latest update on Lewis is that he had a CT scan last night after being taken to hospital and concussion has been diagnosed with the results of the CT scan being 'normal'. Physio Pat is ensuring that both Lewis and the Club follow the FA guidelines with regard to concussion and his return to work (and hopefully football) but only when it is safe to do so.

We wish Lewis all the best and thank Warminster FC especially their physio for his assistance last night in the initial treatment of Lewis and their clubhouse staff for providing a safe environment for the follow up diagnosis.
