We need some more bodies if you can

A message from The Chairman on behalf of the Committee

Many thanks to those who come and support the club rain or shine, more rain these past few weeks though!

We are looking though for more of you and also a little help from the regulars in return for the wonderful match day experience you already enjoy. This is especially true this coming Saturday 25 November when Tracie is away for the weekend but more importantly on every Saturday match day, when then First team or Reserves are at home.

Here is our plea for help – we need a bit of a hand. If anyone is willing they are welcome to assist with the pre and post-match activities.

  • Match Day starts at around 8.30 for the willing volunteers putting up the nets, unlocking the dug outs and stand and clearing away rubbish that the local beauties have thrown across the floor since last opening - this is followed by a (free) cup of tea!
  • Ahead of the match the pay gate needs manning, Three N'Easy tickets to be sold and our visitors welcomed with a mug of tea
  • When the game ends at it’s time to do it all again in reverse – any help is appreciated in taking down the nets, locking the dug outs and stand and clearing away rubbish that the local beauties have thrown across the floor during the match.

The more of you doing it, the quicker it gets done and the earlier Habbers and Keith can have a pint!

Likewise, Sundays are getting busier now and with the Ladies and our Youth teams home and the bar being staffed by willing volunteer players or parents. If anyone would like to give up some time, assist with the bar busy period (even if just from 2.00-4.00) on a Sunday it would be greatly appreciated.

We're a club run by unpaid, willing volunteers and would gladly welcome more of you on board. Please do contact me through our website if you are interested.

Chairman on behalf of the Committee
