The O's are delighted to announce that former professional and O's full back turns down an approach from Toolstation Premier Division side.

Josh Southway confirmed to the club and manager Scott Armstrong, he shall be remaining with the club despite an approach from Wells City FC. Josh is currently out injured with a gash to the leg which re-opened during our league visit to Radstock Town FC. Josh has missed the last two weeks due to his injury and is doubtful for this weekends clash against Roman Glass St George.

This is Wells City second attempt at signing an O's player having failed to land forward Danny Carter last month.

The club are delighted that Southway is to remain at Castle Road. Manager Scott Armstrong added, 'I am pleased Josh has shown his loyalty to the cause and what we are trying to achieve here. I know it was a hard decision for him in a way due to a family member taking the reins at Wells but Josh is keen to see the job out with us. Josh is without doubt when fit and in the right mind-set one of the best full backs in the Western League. I said it last year and will say it again you don't become a professional if you haven't got something about you. This year has been a stop start season for Souths with injuries, we just need to get him back fit and flying again.'
