Oldland are delighted to announce the signing of experienced defender Andy Criddle from Toolstation Premier Division side Chipping Sodbury Town FC.

The tall-experienced defender made his debut for the O's in the eventful 3-3 draw with Keynsham Town FC. Andy (pictured in yellow) was having a superb game before suffering with a twisted ankle which saw him substituted during the second half.

Andy has vast amount of experience including being an integral part of the title winning side at Hellenic league Tytherington Rocks FC before moving onto Chipping Sodbury Town FC. Andy has also played Evo-Stik Southern League football for Mangotsfield United FC.

Manager Scott Armstrong added, "It's important we signed an experienced defender such as Andy as he is very vocal and a leader both on and off the pitch. I had nothing but glowing reviews from fellow managers during our pursuit of Andy. The younger players in the squad can also learn a thing from him. In recent weeks we have had a very young side out including two 16 years so its important to have the right spine in place for the youngsters to learn from during their development and pathway into the first team. Cridds made a great start Wednesday night but unfortunately suffered with an ankle problem. I also like to thank Neil Simmons for waiving the 7 days notice of approach."
