The First Management have appointed their new club and first team captain following the departure of Jordan Greenwood.

The captains armband has recently been shared between a few of the lads in the team however the management have decided on a permanent appointment haven given themselves time to think about their next appointment.

Goalkeeper Chris Manns will lead the team out moving forward. The 32 year old joined the club in the summer following manager Scott Armstrong over from Bishop Sutton FC. Chris has vast experienced having featured for a number of sides over the years in the Toolstation Western League.

We caught up with Mannsy about his appointment, "If I'm honest, I didn't expect to be given the captaincy in a group of such talented players, but it's great to know the gaffa has faith in me on & off the pitch. It will be a privilege to lead not only the squad, which is the strongest I have been a part of at this level, but also the club as a whole. Anything is possible this season, which is exciting & I will do my best to help keep us focused & moving forward together."

Manager Armstrong added this to the statement, "It was a tough decision due to the leadership and quality available to us in the squad. However, Chris is someone I trust both on and off the field and is always reliable. The lads have a lot of respect for Mannsy so will listen to a voice from within the dressing room. Mannsy is a player who has played for me at a couple of clubs so knows what I expect and the standards we are looking to maintain. I am also sure the appointment will be a positive one with regards to everyone's views around the club."
