The club have decided to resurrect a third team next season playing in either the Bristol and District or Bristol Suburban League. Applications are sought for the post of manager from any with the desire, experience not essential, to take on this vital role within the club.

The aim is simple, to provide a platform for the existing and hopefully some newly attracted Under 18s to be playing for our senior sides as well as a continued 90 minutes for the older hands as guidance for them.

Our Under 18s are mainly just 16 years old and are partly through their first period in the Somerset County FA Floodlit Youth League. Next year when aged 17 they will be that much stronger and ready to regularly play in adult football. As it is, several of them already do and as testament to the club's youth policy two of these players were in the first team Toolstation League squad for the match against Almondsbury last weekend, indeed one of them was voted man of the match.

Our Under 16s are sitting 6th in Division 1 of the Avon Youth League and will be ready to step into adult football next season. The existing Under 16s managers Colin Towler and Paul Milsom will be stepping up and coming on board with the Under 18s next season.

The strengthening generally of the senior squads by the new management teams means that there is regular competition for places. The addition of a third string will mean that players on the fringe of the reserves will be able to have a regular competitive game, likewise some of the older hands might want to take a step down and help the youngsters through, leading by experience.

We have already got tentative approval for a pitch in the close vicinity for matches to be played on Saturday afternoons enabling the squad to be not far from and to return to the club house after matches.
