Having narrowly lost 2-1 at Bitton on Monday night, Oldland Reserves faced the same opponents on Wednesday night, 18 April in a rematch thrown up by a quirk of the league fixtures.
Amazing (as advised by Reg) Oldland were playing at Castle Road for the first time in six months due to the ongoing weather and pitch situation, their last game here being on Saturday 7 October 2017!
The players soon found their feet however and an entertaining first half was only marred by a late Bitton goal.
The seond half continued in the same manner, Bitton scored a second before having a defender sent off for a 'last man' pull back then Tom Stratton scored his first goal for the club and whilst The O's continued to press with a number of chances being created to equalize their opponents put two more past a helpless and unlucky Olly Fowler at the 'tractor end' and a rather harsh final scoreline for the fine performance ended up being recorded.
A good performance and a special mention for 43 year-old Rich Johnson for his midfield role.
