Oldland Reserves stepped back up to 3rd in the Bristol Premier Combination following an away draw at struggling Roman Glass St George Reserves in windy conditions at Bell Hill.
The venue was familair to O's boss Dean Winstone who had a spell playing for Bristol St George in the 90's along with a group of other players who left Oldland for one season, won the league with St George and then returned to Castle Road. The pitch was as wide and lush as ever but the driving rain and windy conditions made it difficuly for all.
At half-time Oldland were 2-1 up through the once again impressive Jason Worlock and veteran Jordan Richards but conceded and equaliser in the second half and despite playing well almost lost it at the end when a Glass forward was through on goal, lifted the ball over Olly Fowler but his shot just clipped over the top of the bar.
Well done though to 'the dirty dozen' further strong performances from the squad looking much better than last season and things are looking up.
