Oldland Reserves opened their 2017/18 league campaign with a home win in front of a noisy crowd of onlookers, inclduing most of the first team squad after training.
Having taken the lead early in the second half, Oldland scored a second when Danny Carter superbly chested down, turned and fired home from 12 yards before conceding a late goal.
Louis Rostron unfortunately picked up a second yellow and will face an untimely suspension shortly but all told a good start for the new look team. Ricky Godwin was always dangerous, linking well with Carter and Mason Poole made a valuable appearance from the bench too.
