Oldland Reserves picked up another valuable three points with victory at Wick on Saturday
Having lost at Nicholas Wanderers the week before The Os wanted to make sure they kept up their early season promise. With the first team having played on Friday night their unused substitutes Lucas Hart and Joe Beardswell were drafted in to bolster the side and gain some match time. Likewise young Antonio Nurse continued his return from injury by starting for the blues.
The game didn't start well with Oldland going behind before Hart rolled in an equaliser. In the second half, more chances and goals came including a fine final one from Nurse who had once again gone off with chest problems before making use of the rolling subs rule and coming back on in the second half. There were chances at either end along with a number of delays as Huttons shots cleared the perimeter trees and balls needed to be retrieved in a very entertaining afternoon out in the sun.
The game was the Evening Post Star Match we understand so look out for plenty of action shots and a much better report later this week!
Man Of The Match: Antonio Nurse - showed a lot of heart.....
