It was a truly dominant display from Oldland with keeper Jayde Holcombe a virtual spectator as the Abbots dominated from the first minute to the last.

In a match that featured summer signings Courtney Hobbs,Sam Morgan,Romany Cochrane and Katy Ballinger it was some of the more recognizable Oldland names that took the headlines on Sunday with midfielder Jade Scammell scoring 4 and providing 2 assists in Oldlands 7 goal rout of Bradley Stoke. A solid team display was epitomized by Supriya Kaur and Ella Crookes also having eye catching games.
Oldlands account was opened after 16 minutes when Scammell latched onto a weak goal kick from the opposition keeper and her quick square pass to Beth Dale saw her fire past the out of position keeper from 25 yards.
It seemed only a matter of time before Oldland scored again and it came exactly 10 minutes later when a storming run up the left wing from defender Sam Morgan saw her cross flicked on by Jess Phillips and Scammell who was attacking the far post lashed the ball home.
The middle section of the pitch was being dominated by wing backs Dale and Crookes and Scammell and captain Vicky Mundy in central midfield along with the tireless running of Supriya Kaur in the number 10 role. It was Dale that nearly made it three after 29 minutes when a tremendous solo run ended with her curling a shot onto the bar but Scammell who was once again following up could only blast over from 6 yards with the goal at her mercy.
The goal of the game came after 34 minutes when some slick one and two touch passing through midfield saw the ball find its way to Phillips who in turn found Scammell and with the home defence ripped wide open Scammell made it 3-0.
Their was time for one more in the first half as on the stroke of half time a superb long range effort from Georgina Bragg was fumbled by the keeper and once more Scammell, following up, blasted in the rebound for a first half hat trick.
A half time reshuffle saw sub, former Bristol Academy player,Katy Ballinger introduced to the game and her influence was immediate. On 54 minutes she found Scammell who shot over the keeper from the edge of the box to make it 5-0.
Scammell turned provider on 74 minutes when her corner was expertly volleyed in by Dale.
Oldlands last goal came on 77 minutes when Dale found Cochrane on the edge of the box who turned her defender to curl a shot past the onrushing keeper into the bottom corner.
