Oldland succumbed to a defeat on their first full visit to Stockwood Lane in a game that they could have taken more from.
The O's were hampered by the late loss of Andy Criddle at the back and four goal forward Liam Gale so the starting line-up showed four changes from the weekend with other players coming in on the bench.
The game started badly with Scott Gregory conceding a penalty on 7 minutes and then a defensive error allowing a Phones forward in a few minutes later which meant that Oldland were soon two down. Some half time changes, including a central midfield pairing of Josh Southway and versatile Joe Walters, gave the side more balance and on 53 minutes Josh Williams stayed calm to slot home his second goal in two matches before tenminutes later Jordan Chubb fired home his first goal for the club. Never ones to make it easy, another error and another gifted goal meant that Phones quickly regained the lead and with no more goals, a slightly flat performance ended in a 3-2 defeat.
