Oldland slipped to a disappointing defeat at Cheddar in front of their one travelling supporter in the crowd of 69 - well done Tom you were the only one who avoided Christmas shopping.
We hope you enjoyed the half-time buffet!
Oldland began the game sitting neatly behind the leading pack and with games in hand but this afternoon was not to be. They fell behind early on and then the unfortunate Luke Lecrass was wrong footed and an attempted clearance entered the net to put them two behind at half time. In the second half Oldland conceded two more, with goalkeeper Chris Manns also picking up an unfortunate yellow in the lead up to the fourth.
Manager Scott Armstrong was not at all pleased with his day in Somerset and felt the team had not performed to its full potential "It has of course taken a time for the squad to settle but even now that we have bedded everyone in it looks like we still need some work to get us to a finished product. Trust me, we will work on putting things right this coming Saturday"
Hopefully the squad can bounce back with the new signings ready to step into the starting consideration and we can kick on again
