The O's lost their good home league record in a game they will rule the missed chances and a game which they dominated possession.

The O's squad included Josh Southway who was fit enough to take a place on the bench. However they were without the Jack Metcalf still suffering with an ankle problem, Mason Poole failed a fitness test on his knee and wasn't able to play. Luke Lecrass was still away on holiday. Connor Davies and Matt Ellery were not included in the match day squad with both requiring minutes.

The first half was very much an even game with the O's playing against the wind and started brightly on a very wet sticky pitch. They did have a golden chance to put themselves in front when Courtney Charles was bundled over in the box by former O's stopper Josh Dempsey. The usual penalty taker Joe Walters was over ruled by striker Olly Trevarthen, who stepped up and scuffled his penalty after slipping into the inside of the post only to roll across the goal line and out of play. Roman Glass forced Chris Manns into a save from distance which he dealt with comfortably. The O's also defended Roman Glass dangerous in swinging corners. However the heart break for Oldland came on the stroke of half time, a long ball forward saw Jamie Gregory misjudge a header helping it into the path of Ryan Radford who helped the ball over the stranded Chris Manns to give glass the lead.

HT 0-1

Second half is probably on of the most one sided affairs you will see all season, the O's were in complete domination of the ball. The first chance of the second half come from good link up play between Shomari Sengor and Courtney Charles, who laid the ball out-wide for Joe Walters to put a delightful ball into the box only to evaded everyone. Winger Scott Fear then had the next chance as he picked up the ball ran at the Roman Glass defence, his well low struck shot was well saved by Glass goalkeeper Josh Dempsey down to his left hand side. The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Roman Glass skipper Jason Burt was dismissed for a poor tackle in the centre circle and received his marching orders. Although Jason can feel a little hard done by when a team-mate did a similar tackle on the half way line and only received a yellow. Sub Josh Southway then had the next chance when his well struck shot hit the left hand post and the rebound was lashed wide by winger Scott Fear. Glass did have one chance second half on the break but Chris Manns brought the on rushing striker down outside the box, with defensive cover he received a yellow. The resultant free kick sailed narrowly wide of the left hand post. O's next chance come from a good corner taken by Danny Carter only for O's skipper Jordan Greenwood to head over the bar.

FT 0-1.

Man of the Match was Sham (Shomari Sengor) for a fine battling complete midfield display.

Oldland now face Bishop Lydeard away in their next game on the 4th November. This will be followed by a team night out and live music in the club house.

Oldlands' Manager had this to add on the defeat,'Unfortunately today it shows how cruel this league can be, if you don't take your chances especially from 12 yards it will come to haunt you. Although we had a lot of possession and a lot of chances I'm disappointed we didn't take any of them or work Josh in the Glass goal more. I cant fault the lads work rate or effort today as they did well but the our final 3rd let us down. However, we have to put this defeat behind us move onto next week and get something from that game. With regards to the league there is a long way to go and points will be dropped by every side long the way.'
