Oldland suffered and untimely defeat at Radstock Town in an early kick off as part of the non-league Groundhop Day in a defeat which saw them slip from 2nd to 7th after the weekend's results in their first defeat since mid-August.
Missing Jamie Gregory, Joe Walters, Josh Williams and Jack Metcalf through injury and new signing Jordan Matthews absent, Oldland were running with a depleted and stretched squad wise although this gave Connor Davies and Matt Ellery a potential chance to shine from the bench. They started well though and both forwards could have scored in the first five minutes with decent chances before a fluke cross shot and defelected last gasp clearance off the unlucky Scott Gregory's foot gave Radstock an early lead on 21 minutes just after a Jordan Greenwood yellow card.
To be honest, the match was largely forgettable after that, neither side really created any real chances and both teams seemed reluctant to pull the trigger when in good positions. The match was helped by some slightly confusing and frustrating decisions by the officials for innocous challenges which gave it a stop/start feel throughout. Olly Trevarthen had one mazy run beating several people from pulling out wide but then squared the ball.
Man of the Match: Sham had a good game as did Scott Gregory but on balance it has probably got to be Chris Manns for some fine stops at crucial times
