SUPER SIMON SETS UP MINERS WIN

Millard took his tally for the season to sixteen with the treble with Lewis Parker's penalty just before half time only a consolation effort. O's remain in 18th position while their hosts move to within a point of the top six after this victory.

Suspension and unavailabilty meant there were three changes for Oldland to the side that lost 3-1 at home to Chard Town last Saturday. Shaun Semmens was required by Larkhall Athletic so Josh Dempsey came in while Jordan Richards (unavailable) and Ryan Dunn (suspended) were also absent. Their places were taken by Jason Side and Alex Robertson who came in for his first start for Oldland a week after his 18th birthday.

If the weather was a little blustery at the start, then Radstock's opening ten minutes blew the O's away as Shane Smith's men raced into a two goal lead. First up on two minutes through Millard then eight minutes on and a defensive mix up saw the striker grab his second.

Six minutes before half time, Lewis Parker (pictured) pulled a goal back from the penalty spot and when Radstock were reduced to ten men before the break through the dismissal of Josh Howe, it seemed like Oldland might be capable of getting at least a point from the game.

On the hour though, Millard completed his hat trick and Oldland had no response, slipping to their second successive 3-1 defeat though defeats for the three teams immediately above them meant they lost no ground on those teams.

The O's travel to Westbury United next week to face the side that won 2-0 at local rivals Devizes Town today.
