The management duo made four changes to the side that lost at Bishops Lydeard last weekend. Yesterday's new signing Shaun Semmens made his Oldland debut and the trio of Ashley Bernard, Danny Carter and Lewis Parker returned after being unavailable last week. Toby Sawyer & Jack Knowlson dropped out of the squad while Josh Dempsey & David Saffa took places on the bench.
The first half saw both keepers make good saves to keep the game scoreless and the game sprang into life on 68 minutes when the Cheesemen struck. An angled through ball from Ricky Bennett found Danny Griffiths and he made no mistake from twelve yards. Five minutes later, it was 2-0 when a cross from Chris Coombs was met with a donward header by Adam Jones for his 19th goal of the season.
O's couldn't find a way back into the match despite making three late subs and a bad day was capped in the dying moments when Ryan Dunn saw red for a late challenge.
Next up for Oldland is a trip to Portishead on Tuesday evening, 7.30pm kickoff.
