QUICK DOUBLE ENDS OLDLAND'S RUN

Lydeard's top scorer James Quick struck twice, once either side of half time to seal the victory for the Western League new boys. Owen McCallum's 87th minute strike was too little, too late for the travelling O's who drop a place to eighteenth in the table.

One bright spot of the day was that three players made their debuts this afternoon. David Saffa and Toby Sawyer made their first starts while Alex Robertson came on for his first appearance at the age of 17, one of five teenagers that played and among eight players 22 and under in the twelve man squad.

Next Saturday, Oldland host high flying Cheddar who lost today, 2-1 at home to Malmesbury Victoria.
