Side's header and a superb curling shot from Carter gave the O's a two goal lead briefly before Ben Pring pulled a goal back for Corsham. Carter scored his second, and Oldland's third, with twenty minutes left giving the home side their first back to back wins since September and lifting them four places in the table.
After Saturday's impressive 3-1 win at Keynsham, the new management duo of David Stone and Josh Dempsey made three changes to their starting eleven. Dempsey himself was suspended so in came reserve team keeper Ollie Fowler while Gary Shorney was replaced by new signing John Scorrer making his debut. Stone dropped to the bench for Jason Side to come in and there was also a place among the subs for the return of Connor Davies, the 21-year-old attacker, who had spent time at Bitton.
The first half was largely forgettable on a pitch that became increasingly claggy as the night went on. But Oldland made the breakthrough on 48 minutes when a cross was deftly flicked home by Side. Six minutes later and Danny Carter made it 2-0 with a lovely curler from the edge of the box but Corsham replied almost immediately when top scorer Ben Pring pulled a goal back with his 11th strike of the campaign.
With just over twenty minutes left, Carter grabbed his second after some sublime skills from Owen McCallum set the striker up. It was his fourth goal in three games since rejoining the club and he almost struck a third time with another effort that flew a foot wide of the far post.
There were two late scares for Oldland late on; Ashley Bernard's clearance hit the post and from the ensuing corner, Corsham thought they had bundled the ball over the line but the officials waved away their claims.
Two wins and a draw now after four games of the new duo and they'll be looking to extend their run of good form when they visit Calne Town this weekend, kick off is at 3.00pm at Bremhill View.
