WELLY MAKE IT FIVE IN A ROW AT OLDLAND

The O's, on the back of four successive defeats in league and cup, made five changes from the starting eleven that lost in midweek at Chard Town. Craig Beavis came into goal, replacing Ollie Fowler while Dave Stone and Luke Soule took places on the bench and Gary Shorney & Ali Bamford were unavailable. Into the defence came Sam Hippisley and Lewis Parker along with teenagers Cash Vinall and Owen McCallum, the latter making his first start of the season.

On twelve minutes, Wellington took the lead when captain Tom Ellis headed in after a defensive error. The second goal was also a header, this time from striker Jack Taylor who scored his sixth goal in five games nodding in from a left wing cross. Number three arrived six minutes later when Glen Wright scored aftera goalmouth scramble.

The second half was better from the O's although there was a worrying moment when Sam Hippisley (pictured) was knocked out after a challenge. The game was delayed for several minutes before thankfully the player was able to walk off, replaced by Matt Curnock.

There was no further goals for either side and Wellington duly completed their fifth consecutive win, a run that has seem them clock up seventeen goals and make them a real contender for a top three place this season.
