The only goal of the game came on the half hour mark when Division One top scorer White found space in the box from a corner and scored.
Josh Dempsey (pictured) in goal for the visitors, made some smart saves in the first half and after the break, his resistance continued, twice denying White adding to his nine goals this season as well as pulling off a superb dive to stop a certain goal. Jordan Greenwood came close to scoring for the O's on two occasions from set pieces and then proved his quality at the back, bravely blocking a goalbound shot from a Hengrove attacker.
There was drama in stoppage time when Oldland were awarded a penalty. Dempsey came up from the back and met a corner with his head and in the scramble that followed, a Hengrove hand blocked a chance on the line. The assistant referee flagged for a spot kick but David Stone's penalty was too close to the home keeper who saved his effort. That was the final action of the match and Oldland will be hoping for a return to form on Saturday when they entertain Westbury United.
