O'S UNBEATEN LEAGUE RECORD CRACKED BY ALMONDS

The O's were left to rue missing several chances to win the game and although goals from Luke Bryan and Scott Robson put them 2-1 up, two late goals meant the side lost their second game by 3-2 in the space of four days.

After that Cup loss at the hands of Brislington, the O's went into this game with an unchanged side and just extra bodies on the bench. The first real action of the half saw O's keeper Josh Dempsey and an Almonds striker collide as the gloveman headed clear, the home forward requiring extensive treatment for his troubles.

O's took the lead on 39 minutes when Luke Bryan scored his second goal in two games, bringing down a header from Gary Shorney before shooting home. But with just a few minutes till half time, O's couldn't keep their lead and Almondsbury levelled despite O's protests of an offside.

On the hour mark, Shorney turned creator again, crossing a corner in for Scott Robson to power home a header but once more, the lead was all too brief as Almondsbury equalised again within a couple of minutes. Oldland then wasted several opportunities to go on and win their third game out of four this season and were made to pay when the hosts won the match with a few minutes left. Dempsey saved well from the initial effort but was helpless to stop the follow up being converted.

The result means Oldland remain in the top six ahead of Saturday's home game against improving Wincanton Town
