A goal from Ryan Madge midway through the second half earned the three points for the O's who clocked up a second clean sheet in two games and moved them from 17th place to 7th in the new Division One table.
The first half offered little in the way of chances for either side but things opened up a little after the break. Scott Robson teed himself up for a right foot volley that went wide of the left hand post.
On 67 minutes, the only goal of the game arrived. Gary Shorney threaded the ball through perfectly for Ryan Madge who took aim and fired into the corner of the net for his first Oldland goal.
Later on, the O's had to withstand a late spell of pressure from the home side but sub Sam Abraham came closest to scoring as he shot over from a narrow angle.
Oldland now take on Radstock Town this Saturday in their first home league game of the season, kick off at 3pm at Castle Road.
