Understandably, the O's were slow out of the blocks having not played since Boxing Day while their hosts, Roman Glass, had played five times since then. Roman Glass took the lead on the twenty minute mark and debutant keeper Ben Reed impressed with several good first half saves. David Stone set up Matt Curnock for the equaliser later in the half.
After the half time break, Stone was at the heart of most of Oldland's forward moves and shot into the side netting early on. O's manager Dale Dempsey made a triple change halfway through the second period and one of the subs, Josh Williams, almost made a dream start but headed Stone's back post cross over the bar.
Just as Oldland were getting a head of steam up, Roman Glass counter attacked and went 2-1 up. Stone then went close with an effort that went wide before, with four minutes left, an equaliser arrived. Stone swung in a low free kick that started a scramble before the ball fell to Ashley Bernard who lashed the ball home from close range.
Lewis Parker almost grabbed a spectacular winner in stoppage time but his first time screamer went over the bar. The points were shared, meaning that the O's have taken four points off Roman Glass this season. They now move from one 4g pitch to another as they make their shortest trip of the season this Saturday to Keynsham Town.
