After Saturday's disappointing end to the game at Corsham where Oldland lost from being two up on 75 minutes, there was four changes to the starting eleven including a debut for Ross Jones in goal, deputising for the ill Ashley Bryan. In addition there was starting places for Jordan Richards, Tom Welling and Paul Coles with Ashley Bernard and Lewis Parker unavailable and Tom Morgan on the bench.
Wincanton took the lead very early on, going ahead in the second minute. But Oldland fired back with Scott Robson equalising and David Stone scoring his 12th goal of the season to put the O's 2-1 up at the break.
In the second half, Oldland's striker Karim Rendall and Wincanton's keeper were both shown straight red cards for clashing and with a quarter of an hour to go, O's Tom Welling was dismissed, leaving his side with only nine men. But Dale Dempsey's men held on for all three points and a welcome return to form after more than two months without tasting victory.
