The O's were initially outplayed by a Wincanton side whose display belied their lowly league position. The Somerset side took the lead early on, a reward for their pressure on the Oldland goal.
Finally the O's got up to speed and equalised through Tom Morgan whose 30th minute strike moved him into double figures for the season. With five minutes to go till the break, Josh Williams added a second and two minutes later, David Stone notched his fifth goal in four games slotting past keeper James Stewart.
After the half time break, Wincnaton came again and pressed the Oldland goal and all the while it stayed 3-1, they were threatening. Taoufik Ben Salem volleyed over the crossbar and Harry Baker's shot rebounded off the post.Kieran Davis shot wildly over on his wrong foot and late on, Wincanton hit the post and the crossbar with one effort!
It wasn't all one way traffic though. The game took on an end-to-end feel with Oldland creating more than enough chances to wrap the game up. Morgan volleyed over after spinning, sub Jack Parker's shot was blocked by Stewart with Tom Welling chipping the ball into the keepers arms from the follow up.
Another sub, Connor Davies, was set up by a lovely dinked ball from Stone but could only blast his shot at Stewart and he then found the side netting with an effort set up by a neat Morgan flick. Stone and Gary Shorney had late chances to make it 4-1 but failed to convert and the O's had to settle for their second successive 3-1 win . It was also the seventh time in the last dozen matches that the O's had scored three goals, an impressive stat for Dale Dempsey's team.
