Wellington took the lead on seventeen minutes when they sprang the Oldland offside trap and a runner sped through from halfway to convert the chance.
O's took just ten minutes to equalise with a superb team goal. Ali Bamford's run and pass found Jack Parker and his pass was knocked home by striker Tom Morgan. And it was Morgan again three minutes before half time who grabbed his, and Oldland's second, from close range after a corner had been fumbled.
On the hour, Morgan came close to earning himself the matchball when Gary Shorney's deep cross found him at the back post but his effort hit the crossbar. Connor Davies and Ashley Bernard both went close as O's pressed for a third goal.
Wellington hit the post on 67 minutes but the game looked to turn against Oldland with seventeen minutes remaining. Davies had been hacked at twice by a Wellington defender with no whistle and when it happened a third time, he reacted by picking the ball up and throwing it at the defender, earning himself a red card for his troubles.
Three minutes later though, it was Oldland who made it 3-1. Ryan Ashwood had only been on the pitch for two minutes when he finished from close range after Josh Williams had headed a free kick back across goal. But the scoring wasn't finished and with six minutes left, Wellington scored a second to set up a nervy few minutes for the home defence.
But the O's held out with some stoic, solid defending and extended their unbeaten start to the season to five games and moved into the top six as a result.
