Experienced Western League goalkeeper Will Justin will be Darren Sealey's right hand man this season.
Justin joined Welton Rovers management team a couple of years back after he impressed in his goalkeeping appearances, but stood down as goalkeeper in order to focus on his role in the dugout.
Before leaving them and taking some time out from football, Will had been assistant to Tom Smith since he took on the Welton manager’s role in March 2020, and played a crucial part in the club’s promotion victory season. Tom Smith paid tribute to Justin at their End of Season Presentation, saying “the club’s achievements in the past two years would not have been possible had it not been for the support and knowledge of Will. It has been a pleasure to have him alongside me every step of the way”.
As a player, Justin played 5 times for Rovers during the 2019/20 season, and prior to that had enjoyed a fantastic Western League career as a goalkeeper, representing the likes of Wells City, Keynsham Town and Bishop Sutton.
Rovers secretary and vice-chairperson Gareth Paisey added: “with his excellent organisation and communication skills Will has been a pleasure to work with. He has been a great asset to the club, and I look forward to seeing him back at West Clewes once again in an official capacity when he decides to return to the game”.
