Following the recent announcement that Lee Lashenko has accepted a new position as Director of Football at Tiverton Town, Oldland Abbotonians are now searching for a new First Team Manager to lead the ‘O’s’ into the 2026/27 campaign.
We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Lee for the time he spent at the club. Naturally, we would have liked Lee to remain and continue driving the team forward into the coming season. However, in the short period of time, he managed to galvanise the squad and bring in new talent that complemented the existing group he inherited. Progress was certainly being made, and we wish Lee every success in his future role at Tivvy.
Speaking about his time at the club, Lee said:
“Oldland Abbotonians is a great football club, with great football people attached to it. Oldland came in for me when I was a little down and gave me the pick-me-up I needed to kick on.”
Lee also added:
“It’s a great club and has everything in place for someone to take hold of it and move it forward. It’s so rare nowadays for clubs to have what Oldland have — the facilities, the support from good football people, and the level within the pyramid to achieve success, plus the players they have which forms the basis as the team evolves going forward - I wish Oldland Abbotonians all the very best for the future.”
The club would now like to invite applications for the vacant First Team Manager position. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark at Step 5 level with a progressive and ambitious football club.
All applications should be sent to Club Secretary Rachel via email
