Hanham 6 - 1 Blues
By Kevin Wichard
Poor 1st half, brilliant 2nd half
After winning their 1st game last week, the Blues should of gone into this game with confidence, but they didn’t.
As per previous games, the blues were far to slow to react from the whistle and found themselves conceding early after poor defending from the midfield and defense.
It’s been an issue all season with the Blues starting slowly and conceding so early in the game. Conceding another 4 goals was disappointing to watch with Jake Wichard
doing his best to limit the score line by making some fines saves.
Harsh and honest words were spoken at halftime and the Blues went into the 2nd half with a point to prove to the coaches.
This seemed to work as the Blues looked a different side and showed strength and character, something that they’re should be doing from the 1st whistle.
scored his customeray screamer from 30 yards that gave the opposition keeper no chance. Unfortunately, he hit his shot so hard, he popped his groin and had to go off injured.
Its confusing as a coach to watch your team play so badly in one half, then play brilliantly in the second, something that has been a reoccurring issue all season.
MOM was awarded to Matt Sowerby
. He never gives up and has been one of the Blues most consistent performer all season.
