Even though the Blues lost today, the performance was very encouraging.
In previous games the Blues have taken a while to get into the game, not today. There was spirit and fight with the Blues challenging for the ball on every occasion with some good strong challenges.
Even going a goal down, they didn’t stop and equalised shortly after from another strong long distance effort from Oli Box.
The second half started well with the Blues piling on the pressure in Chilcomptons half. They were unlucky not to take the lead with Josh Grey’s effort from the left going just wide.
Josh Toy continued to be a menace to the opposition, chasing every ball and getting stuck in to every challenge. Ben Darke played well in his preferred midfield position showing calmness on the ball and distributing the ball well.
With minutes remaining, a through ball managed to evade the Blues defense and allowed Chilcompton to take the lead and all 3 points.
Although another defeat, the boys came off the field happy with their performance. They showed spirit, fight and a great attitude today.
No MOM was awarded today as the entire team played so well.
