Oldland are set to face recently reprieved Portishead Town FC on the opening day of the 2018/19 season. The hosts will be hoping for a better campaign this time round but the O’s will be looking to kick on again themselves. In the last two previous encounters Oldland won both ties 1-0 and 4-0 respectively. The kick off for today’s game at Portishead Town fc is 3pm.

The Oldland team news just in is that new defender Jamie Symonds will miss the clash with other commitments. Josh Southway will face a fitness test on a persistent ankle injury. Positive news for the O’s is Last years young player of the year Luke Troke will be in the squad having got through the pre season game at Tuffley Rovers despite waiting an operation on his toe. New signings Ben Starr, Lewis Bezer, Adam Ireland and Sam Gonzolo are all set to feature. Last years under 18’s captain Brad Lewis is also in the squad for selection.
