Oldland Reserves have had a tough start to the season and now as a club we are appealing for some help.
Last season's reserve management team stepped down and whilst they only took two or three players with them, some others also decided to call it a day and the Under 18s were also approached and joined another club. As a club Oldland have always embraced the youth progression (otherwise what's the point of having a youth section) starting up a third team in Bristol & District Division 5 this year and so now lots of our Under 18s and more importantly last year's Under 16s have progressed into adult football. It is a massive step though and we do need someone to give manager Wes Frith a hand.
We would love to hear from:
- anyone who fancies working alongside Wes, either as joint manager or assistant
- any players who think they are of Bristol Premier Combination standard, especially more experienced people, to give the young side a hand
As an overall club we are in great shape. There has already been a discussion about the possibility of a 4th team next year as we have TWO Under 16 sides this season and the natural progression we have all hoped for since the Deerswood merger is coming to fruition. What is needed now though is some balance - some experience to help run and also play in the current Reserve set up and lend them a hand.
Please contact by email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested - we'd love to hear from you!
